In part 1 of our social media management guide on how to create the perfect Facebook page, we brought you the essential information needed to get your page off to a good start.

In part 2 of our guide, we will teach you how to enhance your Facebook following and create engaging content that inspires your followers to get involved!

Social media management is all about increasing your audience following, getting conversations going and driving traffic to your website. But before you start building an audience it’s important to post at least 3-5 posts so that they have a reason to join. You can then invite friends, co-workers and acquaintances to follow your page.

Use your website to promote your Facebook page. Include sharing buttons across your website and blog posts to encourage users to share your articles. You should also include a link to your Facebook page in your email signature.

What Content Should you Post?

With Facebook, the world is truly your oyster. However some of the most popular Facebook posts include:

·         Images

·         Photos

·         Videos

·         Infographics

·         Links

Ask questions in your posts to start a conversation and get your followers involved. Respond to all comments, whether with a written response or a Like.

Also, think about what time you are publishing your posts. Research found that the most successful posts are published from 5pm onwards. Posting on weekends is also very effective.

Shorter posts have been found to be most effective (around 40 characters or less). Facebook includes a social media management tool that enables you to establish how well each of your posts performed. Finally, repost old content that garnered a particularly positive response.

Summing Up

There are endless techniques that you can use to enhance your Facebook profile and generate a huge following. By adopting the techniques described in parts 1 and 2 of this series, you will be able to boost the popularity of your website and make a strong return on investment.
