When you create an email marketing campaign your ultimate intention is to generate the right results. Here at 8 Ways Media we want to give you the right tips and advice to ensure that your email campaigns tick all the right boxes.

Follow our simple guide below to learn more:

1.       Check your ‘From’ Label

The first thing an email subscriber is going to see when they view your email is who it is from. Make sure that your business’ name is in the ‘from’ label so that the recipient knows straightaway who the email is from.

2.       Create a Compelling Subject Line

Your subject line is what draws readers in, so keep it straightforward, interesting and short. Don’t forget a large percentage of readers are checking emails from their mobile devices, so keeping it short is also a practical measure. Above all else, it needs to be compelling enough to persuade readers to open it.

3.       Avoid Clichés

Terms like ‘epic’ and ‘ground-breaking’ are becoming redundant due to overuse. Refer to your thesaurus for some inspiring terminology that will trigger the right response in your readers.

4.       Refine your Call-to-Action

Remember that today’s typical reader is a skim reader who just wants to reach the main point of your email or text, so make sure you create a clear call-to-action that is visibly striking. There are countless designs available online that can be easily implemented into your email campaigns and on your website.

Your call-to-action button needs to clearly stand out from the rest of your email. Use colours that match your company logo and a button size that’s visible and enticing.

5.       Keep it Simple

Keep everything about your email marketing campaign simple and straightforward, from the colour schemes that you use to the amount of text used. Choose a clean, simple font that is easily readable and set it in font size 12. Include images to break up the text as images really work wonders in keeping readers on the page for longer.

6.       Test it, then Test it Again

Once you think your email is ready, test it by sending it out to members of your team. Review the email thoroughly, including your subject line and all links. Also, don’t forget to proofread it! If there is something you or a member of your team aren’t happy with, amend it, then retest it, until everyone is pleased with the results.

Before sending out any email marketing campaign, review all of the above tips to make sure you get the most optimal results possible from every campaign.
