In part I of this handy social media guide we brought you two hints and tips designed to make your social media pages more festive around this special time of year. In part II of this guide, we bring you 3 more hints and tips designed to spruce up your social media pages and make them more festive!

1. Get organised

Christmas is a busy, hectic time of year which is why it’s never been more important to get organised. One of the best ways to get organised is to schedule all of your holiday-inspired posts well in advance and ensure you have plenty of content ready to post around the Christmas season.

Though you may think it’s okay for your social media pages to go quiet during this festive time of year, this is in actual fact the busiest time for social media, when hundreds of your followers take the time to scroll through their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest accounts.

For this reason, it’s recommended to schedule some Christmas posts well in advance of leaving the office so that you’re not sat at your desk on Christmas day scrambling to create a post. This will also enable you to leave a cheery, joyful message to all of your followers and remain in their memories over the busy holiday period.

2. Create an Offer

The holiday season is typically the busiest time of year when people are looking to buy gifts for loved ones. So many brands report an increase in sales of as much as 20%, so don’t ignore the power of a holiday offer.

Craft a seasonal offer such as a ‘buy one get one half price’ or a ‘limited time only’ sale. This is sure to get people talking, visiting your website and checking out your stores.

You should create an eye-catching image to post on your social pages complete with specific information about your latest offer. This is also more likely to be shared and circulated across the internet, thus spreading the word even further about your business.

3. Get a conversation going

Social media is all about being social and interactive, so why not inspire your followers with holiday-related conversations designed to get a dialogue going? Ask your followers questions about what gifts they plan on buying this Christmas for loved ones, their favourite memories from growing up or their favourite thing about the holiday season.

As you can see there are countless ways to adjust your social media pages in time for the holiday season and it is highly recommended to take advantage of this time of year to attract more visitors to your website and increase sales.
